Carbon Hill’s services covers the entire CDM cycle for our projects: CDM project evaluation: we perform audit to indentify CDM project opportunities or review the compliance of a project with the UNFCCC guidelines.- Project Design Document (PDD): the drafting of the PDD with the required information on the essential technical and organizational aspects of the project activity is the key input for the validation and registration of the project as required under the Clean Development Mechanism (Kyoto Protocol). Furthermore it shall contain information on the approved baseline methodology, additionalties, sustainable development criteria, stakeholder’s consultation and the applied monitoring concept, including monitoring data and calculation methods.
- Assistance during Validation: once the PDD is ready, an approved Designated Operational Entity (DOE) must validate it. Clarifications that may arise from the validation process must be properly and promptly addressed.
- Host Country approval: in parallel, a Letter of Authorisation (LoA) must be requested from the Designated National Authority (DNA) which represents the local Government handling CDM matters in the Host country. A DNA ‘support letter’, required to complete the registration procedure, along with the ‘validated’ PDD, will materialize this approval.
Our CDM expertise is based in China where we employ a mix of people specialized in technologies (we 'talk' your language and 'understand' your problems) and people who gained CDM expertise to Validate (we know how to 'anticipate' validation issues) complemented by a panel of reviewers from diverse backgrounds. The CDM 'experts' are supporting our local CDM project managers/offices who interface with our clients.
